Someone on twitter was clueless enough to say that the secret video of Mitt Romney addressing fundraisers probably wouldn’t be a big deal. Well, that cat is out of the bag:
This, at about 7 PM Eastern today after it was one of three trending topics (the others being #MuslimRage and #s17, the anniversary of Occupy Wall Street’s birth). So here’s Mittens speaking to a bunch of his peers:
But let’s be fair, it’s true. About 47% of Americans don’t pay federal income taxes:
However, two-thirds of households, whether they pay income tax or not manage to pay payroll taxes (which make up about 40% of all US federal tax receipts):
Those who pay no income tax are apparently according to Romney “takers,” people who don’t contribute, who are dependent on government, in short, welfare queens. Never mind that American work longer days, take less time off and retire later than anyone else in advanced economies, that half of Americans are one financial shock away from poverty and as the cost of living has risen, we need to make every penny stretch farther because wages have remained flat and more people need to hold down more than one job now more than ever . . . to people like Mitt Romney, Rick Santelli, Larry Kudlow and Brian Sullivan, we’re the ‘losers,’ the ‘welfare queens’ who:
. . . believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement.
Welcome to Amerika. Good thing Mittens isn’t asking for their vote.
